Bletchley Park is a place of exceptional historical importance - the home of British codebreaking, and a birthplace of modern information technology.
The beautiful Buckinghamshire manor house and landscape has been restored to its 1940s appearance, enabling visitors to step back in time to the scenery the Codebreakers would have seen.

The arrival of ‘Captain Ridley's Shooting Party’ in late August 1938 was to set the scene for one of the most remarkable stories of World War Two. In fact, the team were members of MI6 and the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS), a secret team of individuals including a number of scholars turned Codebreakers. The operation they established involved a round-the-clock workforce of some 9,000 people all sworn to secrecy...

To appreciate the importance of Bletchley Park's critical contribution to the war effort, our visit includes a guided walking tour of the site to help us understand the significance of the Enigma and other strategic codes, and how the intelligence produced by Bletchley Park had a direct and profound influence on the outcome of the war, and indeed the subsequent development of computer technology. Several new exhibits have recently opened, including an immersive cinematic experience mapping the vital impact of Bletchley’s secret D-Day role.

For lunch, Bletchley Park offers a number of outlets for refreshments, including the Café in Hut 4 serving freshly cooked hot meals, sandwiches, paninis, soup and jacket potatoes, or the Block C Coffee Shop for tea/coffee and light lunches. Or if you prefer, you can bring your own picnic.

Ticket price includes a guided walking tour of the site telling the story of the people and operations of Bletchley Park; a multimedia guide; and free repeat visits for a year.
