​The much loved musical Starlight Express, first launched in 1984 with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Richard Stilgoe, has made a triumphant return to London in the specially designed Starlight Auditorium at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre. The actors famously perform on stage in roller skates as trains, racing to become the fastest in the world.

In a fantastical story, a child’s train set magically comes to life...

Young but obsolete steam engine, Rusty, races in a championship against modern locomotives of diesel and electric engines in the hope of impressing Pearl, a first-class observation car. Rusty has little hope of winning until he is inspired by the legend of the ‘Starlight Express’...
